Thomas O’Brien for Safavieh: The patterns are all hand-knotted in Nepal using the finest vegetable dyes in combinations of handspun wool and silk or 100 percent handspun wool. O’Brien’s new designs are colored in his own neutral palette, offering consumers a total program that may be coordinated through every room of the home. Weaves are uncommonly rich and include an unusual range of textures.
Straddling modern and traditional genres with his trademark updated vintage style, O’Brien’s new rugs range from classic Art Deco linear motifs to abstract Moroccan geometrics to lavish freeform florals.
